Schoolboost.com is a new website dedicated to helping parents to raise funds for schools without having to spend extra money. The tagline, “Shopping online to help your school!” says a lot. Visitors register and choose a school to benefit. They then go to any of the retailers (currently over 100 and growing daily) affiliated with the programme and shop as usual. The retailers then pay a commission to the school. There is no extra cost involved for the school or the shopper. Money for nothing? So it would seem.
