The DfEE, BECTa, TTA and QCA will be co-located in this new feature area. These bodies will work together to offer co-ordinated messages and services and to assist visitors in developing an understanding of ICT and its relevance in the national agenda.
Special Needs Village
Already recognised as the most comprehensive Special Needs ICT arena worldwide, this dedicated area has now been expanded. With an increased number of suppliers and wider aisles for wheelchair access this area better reflects the needs of the community it serves.
Teacher Training Centre
Specially designed to promote the range of services available, visitors will be able to meet directly with training providers to assess those best able to serve their needs. Together with a programme of free workshops and presentations visitors can directly experience samples of the training on offer.
Software Centre
Focussing on the specialist software, multimedia and CD Roms available for the classroom, this area provides a unique insight into current developments.
Publishing Zone
Explore the breadth of publications available to complement and explain the benefits of ICT in education for all levels from early years through to higher education.
Library Resources Centre
An area designed to highlight the role ICT now plays in the school library from data storage to complete library management systems.
Association Village
A focal point for subject teacher associations and teacher unions and for gathering up-to-date information and receiving advice for any specific subject interest.
Multimedia Evaluation Centre - managed by TEEM
For expert advice on choosing and using ICT resources more effectively visit this new feature. Meet teacher-evaluators, read evaluations and case studies of CD-ROMs and online resources, see presentations on sourcing and using multimedia and browse the software library to find materials that complement your teaching.
